Our
Mission
Quote: “The things that make me different
are the things that make me” – A.A Milne
At Brilliant me we believe in teaching
and preparing children for their academic journey ahead, in a small class
size, by encouraging them to gain not
only academic, social and motor skills, but also help them grow their
self-esteem and have fun! We believe that every child is unique and as such, allow the child to develop and learn at his/her own pace. We encourage
individuality by adopting a “learn through play” approach to education.
We aim to teach the child through language,
mathematics, science, art, music, physical fitness and computers. Academic standards
are in accordance with Western Cape Education requirements and lessons are in
English and Afrikaans. At Brilliant me we follow the CAPS
Curriculum, thereby ensuring smooth integration into Grade 1.
We
focus on character development that fits in with the “Six Pillars of
Character” namely Trustworthiness; Respect; Responsibility; Fairness; Caring
and Citizenship.
Our Goals
·
To create a stimulating environment
where the child is enthusiastic to take part;
·
Not to stereo-type the child by
encouraging free thinking;
·
To set new goals continually and
progressively within the child’s capabilities and at the child’s own pace;
·
To be aware of each child’s individual
needs and requirements;
·
To make the learning experience
enjoyable, thereby ensuring a happy child;
·
To ensure the child is school ready.
